Tote Bag Bottom Supports.

If you are looking for ways to improve the quality and feel of the hand bags/ totes you are designing, Lazy Girl Designs recommends a range of bag bottom supports called Bag-E-Bottoms that come in a range of sizes and most for around $9.

Many of the homemade bags that you can find for sale are kind of limp, and that is fine if that's what you are looking for.  However if you want your bag to retain its shape and look a little bit more crisp and professional, this might be the solution that you are looking for.

Personally, when I need to add some serious stiffness without having to drop a few extra dollars on a project, I merely just swipe one of those Plastic/Acrylic 3 ring binder inserts, and then cut it to shape.

Don't use your good Gingher's to cut this stuff as you will certainly need a trip to the sharpener's, but with an old pair of scissors this is usually not that big a chore.
